====== OPENING : THE SHOW ======
After a massive renovation the CBKU will re-open their new location with "Opening: The Show". A cross-media project by artist [[http://www.mauricebogaert.nl|Maurice Bogaert]].
Z25 curated one exposition for this opening show. Z25 selected 7 artists to create an experimental setup to exhibit. The exposition is open for 4 weeks from the 28th januari 2010 at different locations in Utrecht and is [[http://www.cbk-utrecht.nl/OTS|broadcasted live on the internet]]
We asked our friends from [[http://www.medialabutrecht.nl|Medialab Utrecht]]; [[http://www.borndigital.nu|Born Digital]] and [[http://www.netniet.org|NetNiet]], if they knew artists who would join us in an experiment of applying 'projection mapping'. We selected 7 artists to work on this project and organised workshops in order to use this technique. This project is also used as an example project which could be organised in the new medialab to setup.

===== Projection mapping =====
We wanted to experiment with projection mapping. We asked the 7 artists to create a short performance with the projection mapping technique. By projecting animations in a maquette one has the possibility to change the appearance of the room. Z25 made this technique available to the artists by organising two workshops in which they could experiment and apply this. After these workshops the artists created their performance which is on expose during OPENING : THE SHOW.
===== Technique =====
Z25 also created all technique for OPENING : THE SHOW. 6 Maquettes are being filmed at different locations and streamed live over the internet where the are broadcasted. Z25 build this streaming system based on [[http://www.ffmpeg.org|FFmpeg]]. The whole system, existing of dedicated camera systems, a central streaming server and webclients, is completly based on opensource software.
